The Last Black Unicorn By Tiffany Haddish

The Last Black Unicorn Hardcover – December 5, 2017

I saw an advertisement for Tiffany Haddish’s new book and I had to relay the message. A lot of people feel like to Tiffany is too “ratchet” or “ghetto” to be a successful lady in the entertainment industry. However, you have to recognize the moves she has been making. I personally love and appreciate her comedy. I even identify with her in a sense because she has no filter. She says what she wants, does what she wants, and does it gracefully. Now she’s a NY Times Bestseller.
If you love comedy and you love Tiffany Haddish…click the link above to support her and purchase her book. I personally love to listen to books and I think listening to her would bring the book to life for some. If you’re interested in Audio books click here;

“Beyond The Truth” By Akeem K. Cordes

Beyond The Truth (These Eyes)

These eyes, they see everything

Even some hidden things

Don’t try to hide what you don’t want to be seen

Don’t lie to me

I have done to other people what you’re trying to do to me

So I know the game very well

And if you don’t think so

Only time will tell

I have manipulated many minds and caused them to believe

That the person who stood before them

Was more than who they’d seen

My life is more than just a “blip” on the radar screen

I remain calm whenever someone tries to talk to me

These eyes, they see everything

Everyone’s eyes tell a story

And body language says more than what’s being expressed verbally

So I can tell when you’re lying to me

When you speak to me

I look at you in your eyes

Letting you know that I’m listening

While simultaneously reading your body language

Ensuring that there is nothing that you forget to mention

While you have my undivided attention

Your true feelings about someone show in what you do

And not what you say

85% of communication is nonverbal in all respects anyway

You can see that I’m truthful

In everything that I do

I have no reason to lie to you

Look at me in the eyes when I speak to you

And you will see that I’m being honest with you

Please be honest with me

As I am with you

These eyes, they see everything

Even some hidden things

Don’t try to hide what you don’t want to be seen

Don’t lie to me

I have done to other people what you’re trying to do to me

All I am asking is for you to be honest with me

I know the game

And I have played it well

And if you don’t think so

Only time will tell

Among all the injustice we as a people have faced in this world….we sure have accomplished quite a lot. I am excited to be apart of helping this place become even better. It is important for all of us to realize that the only way up, is to support one another and uplift.

This website was created in attempts to highlight literary works written by authors already published and selling on Amazon. However, I wanted to open up the floor to those of whom that would like to submit their own work….whether it is published or not.  If you would like to submit a piece of work..simply leave a comment and I will respond with instruction to submit your work. I look forward to getting to know you all and I’m so excited for this new journey.

An American Marriage by: Tayari Jones

“Haunting . . . Beautifully written.” —The New York Times Book Review

“Brilliant and heartbreaking . . . Unforgettable.” —USA Today

“A tense and timely love story . . . Packed with brave questions about race and class.” —People

“Compelling.” —The Washington Post

“Epic . . . Transcendent . . . Triumphant.” —Elle

Newlyweds Celestial and Roy are the embodiment of both the American Dream and the New South. He is a young executive, and she is an artist on the brink of an exciting career. But as they settle into the routine of their life together, they are ripped apart by circumstances neither could have imagined. Roy is arrested and sentenced to twelve years for a crime Celestial knows he didn’t commit. Though fiercely independent, Celestial finds herself bereft and unmoored, taking comfort in Andre, her childhood friend, and best man at their wedding. As Roy’s time in prison passes, she is unable to hold on to the love that has been her center. After five years, Roy’s conviction is suddenly overturned, and he returns to Atlanta ready to resume their life together.

This stirring love story is a profoundly insightful look into the hearts and minds of three people who are at once bound and separated by forces beyond their control. An American Marriage is a masterpiece of storytelling, an intimate look deep into the souls of people who must reckon with the past while moving forward–with hope and pain–into the future.

The above is a description taken from Amazon. The authors we will be supporting will be published on Amazon. You can have the paperback version delivered to you or you can download the kindle version of it. Click the link for these versions:

Another method, which is what I prefer, is the audible version. I have a pretty hectic life and rarely have the time to sit down and read a book in its entirety. The audible version allows me to do what I’m doing and read at the same time. Click here to download:
