I'm a 28 year old, mother of 2 beautiful daughters. I love to meet new people and learn new experiences. I have a reached a point in my life, where I feel the need to be more conscientious about my role in this world. One issue that I struggle with is the fast paced lifestyle we live in today. Everything is given to me and I rarely take the time to seek and find information hidden within books. It's so sad to say...but I usually get my news from social media. I find this to be a problem. I also realized, that although I am very proud to be black and I always say support black businesses...but the truth is, I rarely go out of my way to support black business. My spending habits rely solely on what deals are available. It really doesn't matter who's selling. I decided to start putting my money where my mouth is and support anyway I can. One of my chosen efforts to support black businesses is to support black authors. They rarely get the recognition they deserve. It is my mission to highlight the works of black authors and to also encourage others to do the same.
